THIS WEEK'S EXPERIMENT: I'm trying something a little different this week.  Different page for each day.  Hopefully will slash downloading times.  We'll see how it goes.

Please note: Australian spelling applies in Days DownUnder. Therefore spelling of words such as realise (realize), colour (color), recognise (recognize), defence (defense) and so on,
are not typing or
spelling errors as we
adopt European/English spelling in Australia.

AUSTRALIAN READERS PLEASE NOTE: The wrap up you see now is CURRENT for MELBOURNE.  NSW is 3 days ahead of us, Perth in Western Australia is about 18 months behind, regional Western Australia is ahead by 2 days.  South Australia- previously behind, then 3 weeks ahead are now about 3 days ahead! (good grief) Other towns and regions are all over the place. This gives us a jolly old time - the wrap ups are either old news, last week's news or "Spoilers" depending where you are! Whatever your situation, please sit back and enjoy!

The Announcement

Entering the DiMansion, Marlena sees Kristen freeze with fear.  I've got something to tell you, Marlena announces, ignoring Kristen's pleas of tiredness.  You can be part of this discussion if you like Kristen, Marlena announces crisply.  Seeing you're involved.

What is it Doc? asks John eyebrow raised, squinting and frowning in a game of facial athletics.

As Marlena opens her mouth, her thoughts flashback to the priest at the Salem chapel.

Has he been married in the eyes of God? the priest says again.

Back to the present, Marlena looks from one to the other.  What I've decided, she begins, is to leave the DiMansion. I was here to look after Kristen, but the baby is now born and is well, and you don't need me anymore.  It's time to get on with our lives.

Flabbergasted, Kristen stares at her, as John feels relief at not having to choose between his harem.

I'll go pack, Marlena says graciously sweeping up the stairs.

Back downstairs dressed and packed, John takes Marlena's bags to the car.  Left alone, Kristen stares at her.  I have to thank you, she says sincerely.  I don't know why you did what you did, but thank you.

Don't thank me, Marlena spits.  I despise you.  You are a DiMera through and through.  And I will be watching you Kristen.  The minute I find a way to release John from the vows he made to you, I'll do it.

Yipppee

As John retires for the night, Kristen will follow him in a second.  I won! I won! I won! she laughs doing the dance of joy.  Nothing can go wrong for me now!

Or can it?

Sobbing in the park where Hope is swinging on the swings, Susan is despondent. Taking pity on the young woman, Hope gives her Marlena's card.  This woman is a professional and she will be able to help you, she promises.

Hello? Are you Dr Marlena Evans? I'd like to make an appointment to see you, Susan tones.
