Jack's In Trouble

He's only been in prison for 24 hours, but Jack's already on the wrong side of a long list of people.  Especially his new cell mate, who thinks Jack deserves his pictures of Jen and Abbey crumpled in his hot sweaty paw.  But Jack's not all that accommodating when it comes to pictures of his sweeties and he's just made an enemy - no doubt for some time.

Tell him

Laura urges Marlena to tell John.  It's not too late.  He has to know what sort of a person Kristen is.  There's no time like the present.  You're right! agrees Marlena before setting off to attempt to tell John the truth, one more time.

Drugs and Family

Bo stops in to talk with ShawnD.  Your mom told me about the drugs you confiscated from a friend.  I'm proud of you son, and I promise as God is my witness, to rid the streets and in fact the world, of those nasty drug lords.

ShawnD smiles, but lacks interest in the subject.  What he really wants to know is when Bo will reunite with his mother - so "we can be a family again".  Saving the world is one thing, but Bo has to give pause by staring at the horizon quizzically when pondering his future with "fancy face".

Operation

As the oldest paediatrician worldwide staggers into the room, Kristen and John look up expectantly.  Your baby is stable, but he does have a heart condition, the old man blurts not saving their feelings.  He's got to have an operation, but no problem, we do them all the time.  I've got to see other parents he states as he shuffles off, no doubt to spread his brand of cheer to others.

The baby will be fine, John assures Kristen who tearfully peers down into the hospital crib.

Set up.

Travis, exposed to us last week as a faithful henchman for Stefano DiMera, is keen to elicit support to ensure Jack's stay in prison is as miserable as possible.  Sidling up to the prison guard, he has a suggestion.  I'm Travis, and I work for Stefano DiMera.  I want you to arrange for me to move in with Jack.

Dubious

Hope's dubious.  Her cop's training tells her that Bo is keeping something from her.  You can confide in me, she whispers.  I know all about undercover stuff.  Is that the reason you've turned away from me Bo?

Na, I just need some time and space, Detective Clueless reveals as he looks steadfastly as his shoes.

Tantrums

Dr Roberts has stopped by.  He's heard about the baby's problems and is here to crease his brow and show some bedside manner.  However, he's not all compassion, he's here on business.  I need to examine you Kristen, he tells her.  After the birth, we need to know that everything is okay.

As John and Marlena look on shocked, Kristen turns feral.  I don't WANT to be examined, my baby is sick.  I'm fine.  I've had enough and I don't want you as my doctor anymore.

As Kristen storms from the room buying more time, John, Dr Roberts and Marlena eye each other curiously.  John his nostrils raised, squints at Dr Roberts sideways.  She's stressed, he says lamely by way of explanation.

Looney/Lucid Laura, witnessing these events, looks smug.  Something is definitely up with Kristen, she tells Marlena who looks thoughtful.  It's just a matter of time before we find out, Laura mutters savagely.

Stash

Prison Guard Smith, now on Stefano's team, feels the need to do a spot check of Jack's cell, where he shares it with the prisoner from hell.  Prison Guard smith finds a knife underneath the sink and waggles it under mean guy's nose.  You've got solitary for this, he snarls as Jack's cell mate sneers. You planted this man.  Now you've got an enemy for life!

Aug 8

Glum

Carrie's feeling glum.  With Ausdumb spending all his time with Scami these days, she's feeling left out.  Lucky for her Lucas is there to provide a compassionate ear.

Billie & Franco

Billieboob is going through the latest advertising.  I think I'll use this photo, she tells FrUnco who looks at it with interest.  

I weesh Hop was mine, he tells Billieboob.  Bot it weel be juz a mudder of time before Bo turns to yoo Beelee, and then Hop weel be mine.  Yooll see.

Mmm, I hope so, Billieboob sighs.

In the dark

Commander Amiable Abe's got a tricky assignment for Bo.  Bo's been asked by drug lord J.L. King to prove his loyalty, and demonstrate his "bad cop" persona.  Bo needs to secure evidence the Salem PD has against him.

Abe agrees this is in his office, but he also lets Bo know that the office is now has a top level security system complete with random lasers in place.  If Bo is to break into Abe's office, he needs to be careful.  He can't be caught as the "powers that be" in the Salem PD are unaware of his undercover status.  On the other hand, Abe can't leave the beams off, or it looks like Bo is working hand-in-hand with the police.

Don't you worry, Bo assures Abe.  I can do it.

Oh the pain....

Sami continues to be wracked with bouts of pain timed conveniently when Ausdumb is either absent or about to leave.

Don't you worry, all will be well soon Scami, Ausdumb assures her.  Hopefully you'll remember the past few months, regain your health and everything will work out.

Oh I hope so Ausdumb, whispers Scami looking dreamily into her husband's goofy dial.

Go after him

Kate showing a distinct lack of scruples these days, is talking with her daughter Billieboob over Bo's lack of interest.  You must go after him! Kate smiles.  Get a really sexy dress, because obviously most men can't see past a dress and a large chest.  

You're right, brightens Billieboob, I'll go and buy a new dress, and try if I can to bump into Hope while I'm there so we can have a really uncomfortable moment of clarity as we fight over the same man.

Amazing insight really.  As Hope shrugs on a slip of black thread, Billieboob shimmies into a red sexy number.

Awkwardly, the two women eye each other.  Did you buy that hanky to attract Bo? asks Hope as Billieboob agrees, suggesting Hope's piece of elastic looks equally alluring.

I'm going to fight for Bo, Billieboob tells Hope, who looks at her former friend coolly. 

Go for it, Hope tells her.  But Bo is committed to me.  

The Meeting

Mike looks solemnly at Carrie and Ausdumb.  I've ordered more tests for Scami and I feel quite glum about her prognosis.  I think you should keep on trying to lift her spirits Ausdumb.  I have a feeling that devastating news is just around the corner.

Mission Improbable

As Bo clambers clumsily along the air conditioning duct miraculously unheard by the crowds inhabiting the Salem Police Station, he spies the myriad of laser beams criss-crossing Commander Amiable Abe's office.

Phew, it's a tough job, but he's in, narrowly missing the laser beams as they skim his shoes as he fiddles with the lock on the office safe.  

Hearing Hope's voice outside, he stops.  Dammit!  Hope's outside, he rather cleverly deduces.

Aug 9

Hope's outside.

Intent on harrassing Bo on the job at the Salem Police Station, Hope also wants to deliver some papers to Abe.  Her curiosity is peaked when she finds that Abe is out, and there's a security system in place to stop her entering.

Trying to peak through the slats in the window blinds, she thinks she seems movement.  Could Bo be discovered any moment?

John & Kristen

John and Kristen are lamenting the poor health of their newborn, when Kristen stumbles on an idea.  Consummating their marriage, might be just the ticket.

John? she whispers.  I've missed you so much.  Make love to me? Now?  Looking confused, John worries.  Isn't it to early? he asks hoping it isn't.  I'm fine, Kristen assures him.  But their efforts are stymied early as John sighs.  I'm sorry, I just can't help thinking about the baby, he tells Kristen who nods tearfully.  Let's just cuddle on the bed, John offers.

Job completed

Detective Bo "Clueless" Brady calls Amiable Abe to give his report.  Got the envelope from your office - no problem.  Hope was there though, thought she may cause problems.  Would you take care of Hope for me Abe? asks Bo.  I don't want her getting hurt.

And she would be, Abe reaffirms, if J.L.King realised that you were betraying him. 

Discussion

Marlena appears to be able to tell everyone about Kristen's behaviour except John.  Kristen is getting to be a true DiMera spits Marlena rather indelicately, suddenly remembering she's talking to a DiMera.  

It's okay, smiles Lexie, I wasn't raised by Stefano, I don't feel that he's my father.  You're right, agrees Marlena happy at being let off the hook.

But, considers Lexie, you may have problems with Kristen.  I saw her before through the glass in the door.  She was lying on the bed with John and they were looking, well intimate.  Their marriage may be sealed any time soon, so it doesn't give you long to act.

Really? snaps Marlena, her top lip lifting to a sneer.

Hope's Plan

Hope has a plan.  If Bo won't work with her on the case to rid the world of drug lords, when then she'll do a little undercover snooping on her own.  Come with me! she urges FrUnco.  I won't be in danger, I'm a trained cop! And as models it's a perfect front for us to visit the seedier places in Salem.

Meeting Place

Bo's visiting the seedy Salem nightclub, tossing down drinks at the bar sadly, while J.L. King spies on him with the closed circuit camera.

Hey! notes J.L's right hand man.  That's one of Bo's ex-wives!  What's she doing there? asks J.L. who's equally astounded to see Hope, another of his ex-wives enter the bar.

If Brady's duping us, he growls, he'll be sorry he ever thought of it.

Meanwhile, Billieboob is grinning at Bo wearing her new red cummerbund. What a coincidence! she simpers.  I'm surprised to see you here - especially since I followed you.

Yeah well go away, Bo snarls looking into his whiskey glass, aware of being observed by J.L.

Hurt, Billieboob bounces towards the door, bumping into FrUnco.  Don you worree Beelee, FrUnco assures her.  Evertheen weel bee awlright.  Bo weel turn to yoo soon.

Feelings... 

Kristen's slipped out to plan strategies with Vivian, leaving John asleep on the bed.  As Marlena walks inside, she grins at him lovingly, lifting a hand to touch his cheek.

Reaching for her in his sleep, he moans.  I want to make love to you, he mutters as Marlena shows little resistance.

Starting to swallow her whole, something must appear a little strange as he opens his eyes.

Doc! he gasps sitting upright.  Oh my gosh, I didn't think it was you!  I thought it was Kristen!

That's alright, smiles Marlena.

er, Excuse me? asks Kristen opening the door.  Marlena why are you in bed with my husband? 

Honey, I'm sorry, but I have to tell you I was unfaithful to you, John sighs rubbing his neck in embarrassment.  I thought it was you and it was Doc, and well, I was just apologising to her....

Well, that's alright! smiles Kristen embracing him.  I understand.

As John leaves the room, Kristen turns hatefully to Marlena.  How dare you try to seduce my husband, she sneers as Marlena snorts and looks bemused.

Question

Despite John having been associated with many women, two of whom have had his babies, he seems to have some problem with the basics.  Kristen just wanted me to make love to her, he tells Dr Roberts.  Isn't that a little early?  Yes! My Word! Dr Roberts says astounded.  I usually recommend 3 weeks before normal relations resume.  Mmm, I thought so, nods John obviously disappointed.

The main thing, he mutters is that this little baby gets well.

Fight

He chose me! Kristen reminds Marlena who delivers a point of her own.  He doesn't know you! snarls Marlena.  He doesn't know who you are or what you are capable of!

As soon as your baby gets well, I'm telling him everything! Marlena threatens.  But in the meantime, no making love, no kissing, no nothing do you hear me? If you consummate this marriage, then all bets are off and I go straight to John!

Aug 10

Bonding

As Vivian and Kristen stare lovingly at the baby, Vivian urges Kristen to become proactive.  You must somehow re-establish a relationship with my nephew before Marlena gets her claws back into him again.

Curious

Back in the nursing home on the other side of town, Susan is fretting.  I hope my baby is alright, she mutters.  I know I promised Kristen that I would leave town, but I just have to know if everything's okay.

Um, I'm a friend of Kristen Black/Blake, she tells the nurse at University Hospital, and I was wondering how the baby is?  No change, snaps the nurse.  Still critical.

Critical? murmurs Susan her eyes growing wide.  My baby's critical? I must get to see him!  He needs me!

Arriving at University Hospital, Susan is muttering.  I must see my baby, she whispers as she heads for the nursery.

Weird

Dr Roberts is consulting with Marlena.  There's something so strange with Kristen, he tells her, as Marlena's ears prick up.  

Sometimes she's perfectly rational, other times she's quiet - I just can't work her out!  If you told me it was 2 different people, I wouldn't be surprised, that's how different she is.

Mmm, frowns Marlena considering.

Bad news

Ausdumb and Carrie are devastated when Dr All Purpose Mike brings the news.  I'm afraid our latest round of tests are not good, he sighs.  I think that perhaps, Scami will never walk again.

Breaking the news to Scami, Ausdumb comforts her as she wails. Oh no Ausdumb! she screams.  Never to walk again!

Marlena's returned to lend support too.  Please mom, get daddy for me.  I need him at this time! moans Scami as Marlena sighs.  I told you, Daddy's on assignment, she tells her inconsolable daughter.

What to do?

As Vivian visits with Kristen discussing Marlena's threats, Kristen gets a phone call from the nursery.  There's a strange woman who wants to hold the baby, the women advises as Kristen looks panicked.   Surely it can't be Susan! she moans, as Vivian races to the nursery to put out the latest fire.

Let me go! That's my baby! says Susan struggling with security.

You just ask John Black, he'll tell you!

Fortunately Vivian's on hand to smooth the situation.  Citing Susan as a "family friend" she agrees she is a little flaky, but basically harmless.  Please just let her go, we'll work this out, she smiles.

Sure, the security guards say relenting.  We won't say a word to anyone.  Good, nods Vivian, as Kristen looks on nervously alongside.
