NSW is 3 days ahead of us, Perth in Western Australia is about 18 months behind, regional Western Australia is ahead by 2 days. Despite
the urgency Marlena feels to finally tell John the truth of Kristen's
deception, lies and manipulations, she takes her sweet time in getting
ready. Choosing her outfit carefully, she knows it's important when
breaking devastating news to a loved one that the least you can do is look
pretty. 
Strolling
to her secret drawer, she picks up a small jewellery box, being transported to
another, happier time, when John vowed his undying love through the giving of
a heart-shaped brooch. 
Meanwhile,
Kristen wracks her brain desperately for clues on how to stop Marlena in her
tracks. The best you can do is simply leave, Vivian urges. Marlena
is going to tell John everything tonight and she's a woman hell-bent on doing
so. I see no other choice for you.
Like
a loose cannon, Susan is barrelling down the freeway ready to face
Kristen. I want my baby back, she whines. And that mean ol'
Kristen isn't going to stop me! I'll talk to my husband that nice Mr
John Black, he'll give me my baby back.
Scene
filler as Jack builds quite a cosy relationship with his cell-buddy
Traitorous Travis, waiting for his next storyline to develop. Jennifer
sure looks like a nice lady, Traitorous Travis comments coolly passing
Jack his photograph. Yes, agrees Jack wistfully. She really is a wonderful
person, although a storyline would be nice too....
A
passing parade of visitors have wished Marlena well in dropping the bucket on
Kristen. Amiable Abe, whilst surprised at Marlena's intentions, wishes
her well, promising he won't tell John what he knows before Marlena does so. Loony/Lucid Laura
continues to live her life vicariously through Marlena and is filled
with excitement. Go on! she urges, go and do it now! You and John
deserve to be together!
Fortunately
John's out searching his innermost feelings on the Salem pier and is absent when Susan
arrives. I want to see my husband! she tells Kristen firmly. He
will let me have my little Elvis back!
A
chance meeting between Commander Amiable Abe and John on the foggy pier sets
the scene for a most improbable discussion of John's confused love life. No
talks about the football, baseball, or long distance spitting. No,
Amiable Abe, being a sensitive guy, helps John search his soul. 
Jack's
allowed to make his weekly call, and chooses to call Jennifer - he's got
something important to say. 
I
want to tell you that I'm sorry, he begins. Sorry that I'm stuck in four
grey walls, sorry I have no lines, sorry I have no ongoing storyline, but most
of all I'm sorry I killed Peter. I know that you loved him - that you
were still married to him. I just hope that now these magic words are
said that you can get on with your life.
Boo
hoo! sobs Jennifer as she removes Peter's ring. My shallow feelings have
disappeared for Peter. I'm over with grieving now - I'm turning my vacuous
life around. I love Jack again, yet I can never have him.
Did
Marlena arrive at the DiMansion, tell John the truth and ensure Kristen was
ripped out of his life? No, Marlena decided to stop by the church first to
light a couple of candles and ponder how terrific it will be to feed endless
strawberries to her hunk. Sigh.
Settling
on the couch, Susan is prepared to wait for John, as Kristen and Vivian share
nervous glances. Look, smiles Kristen. I know you've had a hard
time of it, and I know that after childbirth your body is raging with
hormones. It must be terrible for you, she soothes. But remember
John Junior is still sick - you couldn't care for him, you don't have the
money. 
As
Marlena is about to leave the church, who should be on his knees asking for
spiritual advice on his complex love life but John?
