Now
recovered from her brush with the shag pile carpet, Laura is experiencing
rapid memory recall. Eyes widening, she stares at Kristen knowingly
while the woman in question wilts under her gaze. Oh Yes, Laura states
firmly. I remember everything. I remember absolutely everything.
Despite
Scami hovering between life and death, her vital signs have responded
positively to a song played on the radio. Ausdumb knows just what to
do! He's picked up the video of his and Scami's wedding. Listen
to the music Scami! he urges. Remember how happy you were on our
wedding day. Come on Scami.
Glancing
towards Dr All Purpose Mike Horton, the family remain hopeful. But
Mike dampens their hope with a grim shake of his head. I'm sorry, he
tones. She's leaving us.
No!
Ausdumb screams in Scami's now deaf ear. Do you hear me Scami?
You can't go! Listen Scami! Listen to the music! Remember what it
meant to you!
As
the soul of Scami heads towards the bright light, she frowns. Someone
is calling her and she likes the pretty music. 
Dr
All Purpose Mike looks confused, then perturbed.
What
is it? wails Marlena. I don't know, Mike considers. She seems to
be responding to the music. Leave the room, I need to examine
her. 
With
the truth known to her of Peter and Stefano still being alive and Kristen's
non-pregnancy, Laura is keen to milk the situation long enough to find
herself in another crisis. 
Marlena
desperate. Please Ausdumb, she sobs. If you could just go into
Scami's room, and tell her that you love her, it might be enough for her to
come back to us!
Walking
to the ICU window, he sighs as he considers Marlena's request. Okay,
I'll do it he sighs as Marlena embraces him fiercely.
Sitting
beside Scami's bed, Ausdumb plays his part. You have to come back, he
whispers. Because I love you Scami and we can be a family - just you
will and me. You have to come back.
Unaware
of Marlena's request, Carrie chooses this moment to stumble into the room,
her breath catching as she hears Ausdumb's outpouring of love for Scami.
Fresh
from her bath, Laura addresses the confused family members. I'd really
like John and Marlena here, she starts, because what I have to say will
affect them too. In fact it will affect all your lives. My story
is really so incredible that you may not believe what happened to me while I
was away, but I can assure you it's true.
Disheartened,
Kristen watches Laura climb the stairs, feeling in her pocket for the
"forget pills" Dr Kay gave her. I never did get to use these
pills, she sighs. My life with John will be over when the truth gets
out - and now its too late to do anything with the pills......or is it?
Hope
"misery guts" Brady is lying on Gran's couch moaning over a
decision that she herself made. It's over, she whispers for the
umpteenth time. Bo and I are really finished.
Meanwhile
Bo is stunned. He'd fluffed up his hair, donned his favourite suit,
rushed to Hope with a love poem - and she didn't want to even listen to him
read it! She wanted to talk about his residual feelings for the woman
he'd pledged to love forever a year ago. How could she? Bo
had his best reading voice all ready too.
What
I have to say is going to affect ALL of you, you announces. And you!
You Kristen Blake are responsible! You were in on it all from the
start!
While
Kristen's eyes open wide, Jennifer, Jack, Nurse Lynn and Celeste turn to
stare at her. 
As
Carrie listens awestruck to Ausdumb's vows of love to the dying Scami,
Marlena puts everything into perspective. It's okay, Marlena
whispers. I asked Ausdumb to do that. Scami loves him so much, I
thought that if he gave her a reason to come back to us, she'd take
it. 
Selflessly
Carrie puts on her understanding martyrdom smile, while adopting doormat
status. She's my sister Ausdumb, naturally I want her to live.
You go back to her side while I bite the side of my mouth in jealousy as you
spout your devotion and love.
Encouraged,
Ausdumb again departs for the hospital room. I love you Scami, he
repeats louder. Will and I need you. Come back to us Scami.
FrUnco's
visiting Hope. I want to be alone, please? asks Hope as she curiously
leans on his shoulder and snuggles closer. It's over! she tells FrUnco,
who manages to contain a grin. Seriously he nods, but his thoughts are
clear. 
Bo
still can't understand it. Suit, tie, fluffy hair, poetry book. It's
worked before. Where did I go wrong?
Laura?
do you like lemon? asks Kristen slipping one of her own supply of
"forget pills" into Laura's tea. But sloppy Nurse Lynn spills the
cup on the floor and only the dregs are left. As Lynn finds a towel to mop up
the mess, Kristen bites her lip nervously. Dammit! the chance for
Laura to forget has disappeared!
Bo's
arrived at the Geriatricakis mansion to return the poetry book to
Kate. Did it work? smiles Kate encouragingly as Billieboob watches
quietly alongside. 
Grinning
Billieboob turns to her. I will go to him, she laughs. But
first, I have to dress in something obvious to show my assets to best
advantage. 
Her
memory returning by the second, Laura glances hatefully towards
Kristen. You were part of it all, she snarls. You were there
when they did those terrible things to me at the Blake House.
I
don't know what she's talking about Kristen wails. 
She's
in on it John! howls Laura, as John raises an eyebrow and looks
confused. Stefano is alive and he was going to take me away from my
family forever - especially when I found out about it all. Why doesn't
anyone believe me? she howls and simultaneously hyperventilates. (
Wondering
how to get out of this one, Kristen winces.
Oh
John, she wails. She's delusional!
Billieboob's
sprayed on her topless black dress, and stands grinning for her mother's
approval. Bo won't be able to resist you, admires Kate. Oh Mom, I love
him so much, Billieboob gushes.
Her
face hardens. How long have you been standing there? she snaps. 
Don't
worry, sighs Nurse Lynn staring at her. I know all about it. I
know that you're trying to keep Laura from remembering something, I know
there's something about Susan, and I know I have to keep feeding Laura these
pills.
Why
are you doing this? frowns Kristen curiously. Because I'm getting
globs of money duh! grins Nurse Lynn. Stefano is paying me a bundle to
look after Laura.
As
Billieboob bounces her way down to the pier, filled with love and happiness,
she hears cheesy ShawnD talking with his dad Bo. But, whines ShawnD,
his bottom lip quivering, I wanted us to be a family again. 
Oh,
sighs Billieboob her heart wrenched from her more than ample bosom. I can't
go and tell Bo I love him now. He loves Hope. He's always loved
her and he always will!
Leaving
Scami's hospital room, Dr All Purpose Mike looks concerned.
Tearfully Marlena stares at him. Is she worse? she cries. No,
frowns Mike nodding and shaking his head alternately in a sign of medical
confusion. Against all odds, Scami's coming back from the dead - I
think she's going to make it.
Yipppeee!
shrieks Marlena so happy she'll grab the person responsible for her
daughter's broken body. She's going to be alright! Hooray!
Just
as Laura is on the verge of announcing everything she knows, Nurse Lynn's
"forget me pill" medication begins to take affect. 
Running
to Scami's bedside, Marlena continues to weep. Oh my Scami-girl she
keens, you're going to be alright!
John's
returned from seeing Kristen and hearing the good news, races into Marlena's
waiting arms. Thank God, they sigh as they stand by Scami's bedside.
You're
such a rock to me, sobs Marlena happily. I'll always be there for you
whenever you need me Doc, vows John.
Being
reminded by Nurse Lynn of Susan, Kristen remembers a call she has to
make. You missed a doctor's appointment, challenges Kristen.
Don't do it again! They'll get suspicious! I've made an
appointment with you with Dr Roberts for tomorrow - alright?
Yes
Kristen, agrees Susan. I'm sorry I missed it. Hanging up the
phone, Susan grimaces. Ouch! she groans rolling her eyes.
Ohmygosh, I think I'm in labour!
Another
round of "it's over" with Gran is in full swing, until a thought
hits Hope. Yes! she mutters seeing the light. I could use
Billieboob to get Bo back! I'll be back soon Gran - I must find
Billieboob!
As
Laura mumbles, moans and sobs frightened of her inability to remember the
slightest detail, Nurse Lynn returns. 
Keen
to go on assignment only when his love-life is ailing, Detective Bo is
champing at the bit, desperate to get involved in Commander Amiable Abe's
latest drug ring case in Salem. 
With
Scami out of the woods, Ausdumb and Carrie lovelip are out walking. Do
you really think that things will work out for us Ausdumb? 
Managing
to prepare herself as Kristen, Susan is wracked by labour pains.
Calling Kristen, she tries to tell her. Kristen? It's Susan,
I....
I'm
sorry, whispers Kristen with Marlena and John too close for comfort.
I'm busy now. Could you call back tomorrow please?
Arriving
at Billieboob's apartment, Hope uses her key to open the door.
Billie's not there.
Billieboob
stops in to bid adieu to Ausdumb on her way to the airport. I wish you
didn't feel you had to go, whines her brother, but Billieboob Martyr
sighs. It has to be this way, she nods.
Bo's
spilling his lovelife woes to the mute Victor Geriatricakis. I wish I
could help you Bo, the tycoon thinks. You seem in so much pain.
Dr
Roberts is pleased to hear the news of Marlena's daughter and stops by to
pass along his best regards. With talk swinging to Kristen, Dr Roberts
frowns. Kristen missed her appointment with me today, he tells an
immediately suspicious Marlena. Oops, pager's beeping. Gotta go!
Dr
Robert's beeper was for Susan. Mm, nods the doctor incisively - looks
like you're in a labour. I'll go get the ultrasound machine.
At
the airport, Kate's distressed to bid Billieboob goodbye. I'll be
fine, her daughter assures her.
Susan's
still experiencing labour pains, while Kristen sits beside John at the
DiMansion quietly having dinner. 
As
Bo leaves the Geriatricakis mansion after his one-sided chat with Victor,
Kate is pleased to see him. Feigning distress, she tells Bo
everything. Billieboob is leaving Salem because she believes she is
the problem between you and Hope.
Kristen's
annoyed when John decides to check on Marlena's whereabouts. Marlena's
cellphone starts to ring, but she's too concerned to answer it. She's
been told Kristen is in labour in Dr Robert's office, and she's keen to
snoop out some more information.
Hope's
tracked down Billieboob at the airport where she's edging forward to get on
her flight. Billieboob wait! she cries pulling her former friend
aside. I've figured out how we can find out which one of us Bo wants
to be with, she tells a startled Billieboob.
No
more startled than Bo who has witnessed Hope's speech having just arrived at
Salem's international airport.
Hope
has pulled Billieboob from the line and addressed her earnestly. You
left Salem when I came back from the dead and that was wonderful of you, Hope tells
her. But it didn't resolve anything. Bo only got over you
because you weren't here. He didn't have a chance to resolve his true
feelings for you. Don't leave again - stay and let Bo work out which
one of us he wants. Shaking her head and rolling her eyes, Billieboob
points out that Bo loves Hope. He always has and always will.
Unseen,
Bo enters from behind. I feel like a door prize, he whines. As
much as you want to play little games Hope, it won't change anything.
I love you Hope, I always have and I always will.
Standing
over Scami's bed, Carrie and Ausdumb are thrilled when she opens her
peepers. Dr All Purpose Mike Horton beams. Looks like she's
recovering. She needs plenty of rest, but I believe she's definitely
going to make it.
Kristen
and John are sitting down after dinner when Kristen raises the subject of
marriage. I want to get married - now John, she smiles. I hate the
thought of having your baby without the ring on my finger. Fine,
agrees John. But we have to do it in Salem as it's so close to your due
date. We'll invite just a few friends
and Doc of course, and we'll have the ceremony in the house. 
Frowning
Kristen sighs. No, I think I'd rather just have a private moment for
the two of us. The housekeeper can be the witness. 
Marlena's
seized Dr Roberts as he rushes from the examining room with his all-important
clipboard. Is Kristen really in labour? she asks him. 
Kristen?
You have a friend outside, smiles the nurse referring to Marlena.
Would you like her to come in and be with you?
Carrie
and Ausdumb have heard Marlena's waiting in ob/gyn and they have good
news. Scami just woke up, they tell Marlena who's thrilled. Dr
Mike said she's going to be fine, Carrie enthuses.
Taking
a moment, Marlena calls the DiMansion, but John is still repairing Shawn's
car and Kristen has gone to visit Father Jansen to make wedding plans.
Where could John be? asks Marlena mystified.
Dr
Roberts shows Susan the ultrasound screen. Yes, you're indeed in
labour Kristen, he smiles. And you're having a boy. A boy? asks
Susan smiling. A boy, she smiles.
Marlena's
rushed to the DiMansion. Where have you been? she chides John who
looks at her cluelessly. Kristen's in labour!
Kristen's
in labour? repeats John. But how? where? who? what? Come on!
urges Marlena, she's just had the ultrasound!
Listening
to Kristen's telephone ring out, Susan is frustrated. Oh Kristen where
are you? she moans. You've got to know I'm in labour Kristen!
Kristen's
outlined her need to keep her impending nuptials to John a secret, but
Father Jansen frowns. Something simply doesn't add up with what she
has told him. Perhaps you should sit down and tell me the whole story,
he tells Kristen, who struggles with the enormity of the task. Father
I've done a LOT of bad things, she sighs. 
With
Bo flouncing off in a fit of pique after having tried unsuccessfully to
persuade Hope that she is the love of his life, Hope remains unrepentant for
her actions. 
As
Hope's bouncy new curls bob from sight, Billieboob ponders. Is it worth
staying to see what Bo could feel for me? she asks herself. Forget it!
she determines. Smiling she hands her plane ticket to the clerk and accepts
her boarding pass. Billieboob is leaving Salem.
